Provision
of Market information:- Computer linked to Agmark Net web
site, T.V Touch -screens and other information sources have been
provided at the Agri-Business information Centres. The centres also
have films and literature on crops and Markets. NCDEX and MCX tickers
have also been put in these centers to give knowledge in future
and spot marketing to the farmers.
Library:- All the important journals relating to
agriculture and agricultural marketing are being subscribed both
in English and Hindi for educating the farmers and provide information
on the latest happenings in agriculture in India and abroad.
Holding of Workshop and Organzing Buyer-seller Meets:-
The workshops and Buyer-seller Meets are organized to link trade
and Industry with the farmers. The first one has been organized
at Sirsa in October,2005. Second Buyer-Seller Meet on cotton was
organized in December,2005. A Buyer-Seller Meet on kinnow was organized
at Sirsa on 18 th January 2006 and Mushroom on 31 ist January at
Sonipat..
Provision of Laboratory:- A laboratory for testing
the cotton crop has been provided at Hisar and Sirsa, besides Agmark
laboratory has been set up at Hisar for testing of processed products
of the farmers.
Supply of inputs:- In the second phase, the ABICs
will have provision of sale of all the Agricultural inputs like
seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and agricultural implements with
the help of Haryana Seed Development corporation, HAIC HAFED and
agriculture Department.
Identified Crops as thrust areas:- In order to
have a sharp focus initially five commodities have been indentified
i.e. Cotton wheat cauliflowers and Kinnow for market information
development.
Study of Marketing conditions:- In order to study
marketing condition of the farmers in identified areas , a formal
study need to be conducted For this,CCSHAU, Hisar has been requested
to provide technical guidance and depute its students for doing
market research.
